Cyberdog started life as the creation of Glenn Watson and Melissa Burgess. Since 1993 both had been well known in the photographic industry as the soul of Nikon Club Australia, a subscription loyalty program run by the then importers of Nikon, Maxwell Optical Industries. The nationwide Club had its own quarterly full-colour magazine Light Reading, edited by Melissa and with feature articles and regular Q&A and photo feedback columns by Glenn. During this time Glenn also wrote dozens of articles for other titles including Australian Photography, Commercial Photography, Digital Photography & Design and Better Digital.
In 1999 Melissa and Glenn realised that their experience in writing, graphics, photography and illustration could be developed in their own small business and formed Cyberdog Interactive as an adjunct to their work at Maxwell. When Maxwell downsized in 2004 (eventually becoming Maxwell International Australia) the Club was discontinued and Glenn continued there part-time as Website and Training Manager.
In 2005 Glenn left Maxwell to work in the Sydney branch of Dunnart Advertising and Design, servicing customers in Alice Springs, NT. When that business folded in mid-2006, Glenn made the decision to devote himself to his real passion: Cyberdog Design.
From its base in Summer Hill in Sydney's inner west, Cyberdog continues to expand, now servicing clients from Byron Bay to Bulli.
